THE STORY OF FLEUR WELLBEING
Fleur Wellbeing first began way back in 2009, when Steph Bower started teaching fitness classes out of Kahibah Public School. The classes were thriving and there was an awesome family of members which kept growing so Steph decided to then open a physical studio in town - Fleur Wellbeing was born.
In 2011, Fleur Wellbeing moved to Charlestown where it still remains today. Steph's Husband and Father did the studio fit out themselves, painting over the grimace purple walls with fresh white paint and replacing the carpet with beautiful light floorboards. The studio was now light and bright - creating that beautiful feeling of space and calm.
From there, the Fleur Wellbeing family continued to grow, welcoming in some incredible clients. Many of whom are still regulars to this day. In 2015, Steph met Ellesse through a friend (who actually is Ellesse's cousin!) and Ellesse started teaching at Fleur. She had just returned from living in Canada for the past few years. Steph and Everett had recently gotten married in 2014, and now was the perfect time to hand over the reins for the studio and start a family of their own. Steph decided Ellesse was the perfect fit to be the new Studio Owner and it turns out Ellesse had a dream to one day create a studio just like Fleur Wellbeing. It couldn't have worked out more perfectly really!
In late 2015, Ellesse officially became the new Owner of Fleur Wellbeing and Steph and Everett soon after welcomed their gorgeous little boy into the world and now have two beautiful kiddies!
Since then, the studio has grown even further. Welcoming in the addition of 4 more Reformers (we had to knock out a few walls) bringing our total of Reformers from the original two to six. TRX's were installed into the ceiling and if you haven't tried a TRX class yet - you must! Due to the overwhelming and growing popularity of our Barre classes, we had an additional Barre Installed to accomodate this too.
The Fleur Wellbeing team of Instructors is now bigger than ever before and one of the best things is that the beautiful Steph is still teaching with us. Steph and Ellesse have formed such an incredible relationship throughout the journey of Fleur Wellbeing. With the perfect balance of Friendship and Business, we truly rely on each other for help and reassurance. Ellesse sees Steph as a big sister to her, always knowing she is there for advice when it is needed.
In 2021, Ellesse and her husband Josey started a family of their own too, welcoming little Bowie into the world. She knew that the studio was in the absolute best of hands with Steph and the Fleur Team and would be so well looked after while she took some time off to become a new Mummy.
Sometimes the very best of opportunities come along at the most unexpected of times, making dreams come true and this is just one of those stories. We are so proud of our little studio and can't wait to see what the future holds!
