I have never done Pilates before- where should I start?
For Pilates we recommend doing an Initial consultation, so that we can complete appropriate postural assessments, explain the principles of pilates & take you through a basic workout so that you feel more comfortable when joining in your first group mat pilates class.
Initial consultations are essential for any clients working with injuries, as well as clients wanting to start reformer pilates for the first time.
We then recommend starting with our 10 day Intro pack to try out all the classes & see what you like.
I'm not a dancer & I'm not very flexible can I still do Barre?
Absolutely!! Most of our clients have never danced or had any experience dancing at all.
We welcome everyone to our barre classes, even the guys! no tutus required.
(Although you can if you want to!)
I am pregnant, what classes are safe for me?
We always recommend getting medical clearance from your doctor prior to commencing classes, & depending on how far into your pregnancy you are we suggest maintaining your current level of fitness & not pushing yourself too far.
Some popular classes for our yummy mummies are Mat Pilates, Stretch & Barre. We will modify each class to suit your individual needs & make you feel as comfortable as possible.
If you have any particular health concerns & would like to discuss further or arrange an initial consultation we recommend you give us a call & we can work out what will be the safest & best options for you, as every woman is unique & experiences her pregnancy differently.
Do I have to book into your classes or can I simply show up?
Due to our class sizes being capped & our aim to create a more intimate experience for our clients we ask that all clients book in for every class / session.
You can book in for a class on our website through our online booking system Mindbody or by downloading the Mindbody app from the App store & searching for Fleur Wellbeing.
Once you enter the Mindbody system you can create a personal login, purchase, book & manage your classes there.
What if I have to cancel my booking?
You may log into your Mindbody account or via the app and click "cancel" provided it is at least 6 hours prior to the class start time. Last minute cancellations & no shows will incur a $15 late cancellation fee. This is to ensure a fair environment for all clients & so that clients who are waitlisted for classes can take your spot if you can't attend.
